Branding within the mobile phone sector


 
 
Samsung mobile have achieved great success with their smart phones as they offer a range of phone at a much lower cost than the other leading competitor (apple-iPhone) as they offer such variety these appeals to a much wider target audience. This is their key strategy in standing out in the market by not having a defined target audience.  Their phones are also leading in innovation which has allowed them to becoming the no1 mobile maker in the world. The apple iPhone another hugely successful mobile phone has currently release their latest version of their smart phone the Iphone5, From reading reviews on this phones it appears that as always ‘Apple’ have brought out another good working device with some improvements and changes from the iPhone 4 (faster processor and larger screen) but in reality in does nothing special compared to its predecessor, so why has it sold in its millions? Amazing customer loyalty and clever branding, Apple doesn’t just sell you a mobile phone they offer a lifestyle to its consumers and hands them technology on a plate. Its aim was to sell the idea that the iPhone would make people’s lives easier. Apple also has an air of exclusiveness surrounding it, making their customers feel like they a part of superior community.
